Been away for a while, mostly because I got bust and GPT sites took a back seat. In the meantime however, the scene has changed, and I'm going to take up this site again to try and guide you through it. I'll be updating some old ratings, reviewing some new sites, and trying to add daily news blurbs if I find them.

Now that I've got a pretty good collection of reviews on this site, it's occurred to me that the actual grades aren't very informative. To try and address that issue, I'm instituting the following standard:

A Range: A site I use everyday; the best of the best

B Range: A site I use occasionally, but not regularly for various reasons

C Range: A site that I don't use, but only because I feel I don't have time to add another site to my rotation; still recommended for someone who is a member of all the A and B sites but still wants more.

D Range: A site that I can't recommend for various reasons, but still trustworthy if you want to try

F Range: Scam sites; Either those that don't pay or abuse your private information

The pluses and minuses will still be utilized in order to rank the sites within each letter grade. Hopefully this will help organize the sites better, and help you pick which to join based on your interest level and time commitment.

GangsterGreed.com is yet another GPT site, except this time the twist is...well, actually there is no twist. Aside from an above average site design, you've probably seen this one before. OK, maybe that's not entirely fair, the site does have one unique feature: Instant Payouts. Instead of waiting until the end of the month, you can request your money any time you pass $15 in earnings. The catch is that PayPal is your only option, but for most that won't be an issue.

The site lacks all the bells and whistles or the big boys, but it also lacks some basic features that I feel should be standard. For instance, there is no way to filter or sort the offers page; all you get is one long list of offers to peruse. It's a frustrating shortcoming, especially since being able to sort offers by name, or date added is one of the best ways to find good offers on other sites. Like most sites, there is a proof-of-payment thread in the forums, and I've heard from other people that they're legit, so if you struggle through you will get rewarded.

Overall nothing to get excited about. If you just have to have another GPT on your roster than it's as good as any but it won't be knocking off the top sites any time soon...B

Another day, another GPT site. That's the overall impression I get from CashOnTap.net. It's fine, entirely adequate, and OK. OK, maybe that's a little too harsh, as this site does have some nice features. First of all, there are 3 payouts a month rather than the standard 3. Second, offers are nicely organized, and completed offers stay on lists but have updated statuses like "pending" or "approved." Finally, this is a veteran site that pays, which can never be underestimated in this business.

The other side of the coin is a pretty ugly website, which doesn't make you want to spend anymore time on it than necessary. Furthermore, CoT lacks the bells and whistles of the better sites: no surveys, no mini-games, a couple unattainable bonuses.

Overall, CashOnTap.net is a great option for people that have already signed up with the higher rated sites and still want to increase their monthly income. Not the first site you should join, but not one to be avoided either: B-

Great idea, poor execution, damn shame. First things first, if you have no interest in poker then you have no interest in this NoPayPoker.com...move along.

Now I'm assuming the rest of you are mourning the death of online poker in the States, and at first glance this seems like the perfect vehicle for resurrection. It starts like all freebie site: fill out offers, get free cash. Unfortunately this is where the problems begin. The payout on this sites offer are much lower than its competitors. Whereas CashCrate or SwatCash might offer 40 cents to fill out a survey, NoPayPoker offers 7. The only justification I can imagine for this is that maintaining the poker software costs more so they have to payout less, but still, that's no way to create a successful freebie site. Navigating through the website to find the offers is difficult, and adds an unnecessary level of frustration that this site doesn't need.

Assuming you can look past that, you can spend your earnings on poker games to increase your take. The poker software isn't great, but it works. In the time I was testing this site, the software was updated once, so it's nice to see they are working on improvements. It's not hard to find a game, but ususally that means you have a choice between 1 and 2 tables...not exactly PartyPoker.

Overall NoPayPoker is a nice twist on the freebie site format. Unfortunately the potential is wasted due to bad offers, poor site design, and an overall sense that you're wasting your time: D

I suppose this is what it was like in the bad old days. DonkeyMails.com seems to be one of the oldest freebie sites that's still in business. Than said, you wouldn't know if from looking at the site. Ugly graphics, tons of ads, and almost impossible navigation all make this look like a site that started a week ago, not two years ago. All that could be forgiven however, if the site offered the potential to make some good money, and that's where things get really embarrassing.

DonkeyMails offers numerous ways to make money, the most convenient is by clicking on e-mail links and staying at the site for 15 seconds. Your reward for all this clicking? .25 cents. That's not a typo. For the non-math inclined, that means for every 4 e-mails you click, you get a penny. Not much else needs to be said...ugh. On the plus side, this site appears to be stable, and when you finally save enough pennies to make the withdrawal, odds are you'll get your money.

Overall this site gets a better grade than it probably deserves based on consistency and solvency but unless you have nothing but time on you hands, look elsewhere: C-

Not much to say here. Plan on doing summaries twice a month with current totals for every site. Left out Moola (since the money will go up and down) and NetWinner (since the points provide nothing in terms of comparison to these other sites). For Gaming Lagoon, each point works out to about $1.10.

Consistency. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that this is the key to a good freebie site. High referral rates? Great. Mini-games and prizes? Cool. But all the bells and whistles in the world don't matter if the damn offers don't approve. After spending some time with SwatCash.com, I'm comfortable saying this is the most consistent freebie site I've found. Granted it took some experimentation, but thanks to the great organization on the site, I've gotten to 100% approval on the offers I do.

100%. No BS.

That's not to say that every offer on the site works, but each offer is labeled with the company behind it. Once you find a company that approves, there's about 20 other offers you know will approve. It's a great feeling. Of course this site also has a bunch of extra stuff (mini-games, prizes, random cash bonuses) but it's the approval rates that make this the new king of freebie sites.

Downsides? The pages load slowly sometimes...that's it.

Overall the new king of freebie sites (grades will be adjusted accordingly). Join now...like right now. Every offer you complete on another site is wasted time and money: A+

Oh man is this site close! When I first signed up, I was sure this would be an easy A+, and maybe even dethrone CashCrate. It's a great looking site, and the only one I'm aware of with its own (very professional looking) TV commercial. The basic site is just like all the rest: fill out forms, surveys, etc., get cash. What's unique is that every offer also yields additional tokens and chances at additional mini-games. The tokens and prizes from those games can then be used in a special shop to buy referrals, tips, and a bunch of other cool stuff. All in all it's a nice twist and makes you want to complete just one more offer(and another and another) to buy the next prize. And don't worry, I've seen proof of payment for this site so even if you couldn't care less about the prizes you still get the cash.

"OK," you're thinking, "this sounds great, what's the problem?" Well as much as I want to love this site, I'm having the damnedest time getting the offers to be approved. I think I'm about 3 for 15 right now, and for the life of me I can't figure out why. Customer support hasn't been any help yet either, so I can't give this site the grade it probably deserves.

Overall this is a site I want to love. It's great in every way except perhaps the one that counts the most. If the bottleneck breaks this may become my top ranked site, until then: B+

This is a hard one to review so bear with me. If you click through the link about, you're going to hate it. If you start completing offers, you're going to hate it. And if you do all this because of this site, you're going to hate me. Paycage.com is a brand new site (opened April 1st) and it shows. The site is complicated, ugly, and shows it's immaturity in every way. The offers are plentiful, but don't seem to complete reliably. This problem is compounded by the fact that it's hard to even keep track of what you've done, as the pending and completed offers pages are hidden pretty well. All this may be for naught however, as I have yet to see any proof of payment from this site.

Is there any upside? Well, for one the site is new, so odds are it will get improve a lot in the next year. Second, membership is really small right now so referrals should be easier to come by here than CashCrate or GamingLagoon. Finally, there are some nice ideas here that just need to be implemented better; for example, all offers are nicely categorized in a drop-down menu and have decent explanations how to complete them

Overall, this site has potential but little else. I fully expect to raise this grade in the next few months, but until then...: D

Netwinner isn't your standard freebie site; there are no surveys, no sign-ups, and no links to click through. Instead, you sign up and get essentially enter a 30 second "Pick 5" lottery that you can play over and over and over again. And you'd better get used to playing, as the only prizes available are gift certificates for 25,000 points. I average about 10 points per every 5 spins of the wheel, so you can do the math. There are also cash prizes, but I've never heard of anyone winning them.

The upside is that spinning the wheel is pretty painless. You can play while watching TV and pay zero attention to what's going on. Also, it seems like the people who have the patience to play do actually receive their prizes, so at least the site's legit.

If you're an absolute freebie site junkie, this is a site that can feed the need even while doing something else. Otherwise, your time is best spent elsewhere: C

Moola.com is unlike any other free cash site that I'm aware of. Signing up automatically entitles the member to.....a penny. Pointless you say? Maybe at first, but the whole point is to take that penny and compete with other users in 3 different quick mini-games (with more on the way promised) to double you're stake. Each time you win you're eligible to risk more: 2 cents, 4 cents, 8 cents, all the way up to 10 million dollars. It's actually much better than it sounds, as you never have to risk you're entire stake and can slowly build up a bank. I currently have $10 (the minimum withdrawal amount I might add), and play for 64 cents a game. Once you get up to that level, the money starts to pile up quickly (if you're good). If that grind doesn't suit you, they also offer the usual survey, sign-up, and free trial bonuses (called boosters) to add larger chunks of cash to your bankroll.

The only catch is that you have to watch a quick commercial before every match, although I think there's only 6 or so, and once you've seen them you can skip right through and answer a quick question about the ad to continue. The other caveat is that this site is still in beta, so it's invite only. If you're interested, leave a comment in this post with your e-mail address and I'll send you an invite if I have one (they're rationed out 3 or 4 at a time); first come, first served.

Overall a hard site to rank since it's so different than everything else, but it's nice to look at, works well, and seems to pay out without a hitch: A

GamingLagoon.com isn't a free cash site per se, as instead of money, you earn points that can be exchanged for prizes. The downside is you obviously don't get cash, the upside is that means you can get rewarded a lot faster. For instance, I redeemed a Microsoft Marketplace Point card and had the code within 24 Hours from my request. (Almost) instant gratification is a good thing.

The site isn't as pretty as some others, but it works well. You can see your available offers, pending and completed. The offers approve very quickly, meaning if you haven't been approved in 15 minutes, you won't ever be. Luckily most of the offers go through with no problems.

Not the prettiest site, but works as advertised. A must try for any gamer: A-

Pay Site Tutorial

So now that I've convinced you to sign up for one of the freebie sites on the website, you're probably wondering where to start. Let's be honest, this isn't rocket science, but there are a few tips that will make it as painless as possible.

First: Sign up for a New E-mail Address
Before you even sign up for a site, you should create a new Hotmail/Yahoo/etc. e-mail address to use. Since you're going to be getting a bunch of junk mail, you don't want to use you're regular address. As you join more and more sites, you probably want to create a new e-mail for each; it will make it much easier to track down confirmation e-mails and the like if you have less messages to dig through.

Second: Sign up for PrivatePhone.com
Now that you know you won't be spammed by e-mail, it's time to insulate yourself from being spammed by phone. Privatephone.com is a free internet voicemail company. All you have to do is sign up, pick a region, and PrivatePhone.com will give you a valid phone number to use in lieu of your real one. Since I've never had any reason to actually check it, I've never signed up for more then one.

Third: Download Roboform
Now that you've registered and have gotten a feel for the site, it's time to start filling out offers. At first it's easy, but the more you do the more you realize what a pain it is to keep filling out the same info. Enter Roboform: a free program that will fill out entire forms for you at the push of a button. I found it to be really simple, but for detailed instructions just click the link to the website. This program has cut the time I spend filling out forms in half.

Fourth: Use Your Bastard Browser!
Admit it, you have at least two browsers on your system and you only use one of them. The other just sits there; the bastard son of your laptop or desktop. For most people, this seems to be Internet Explorer. I've found using IE to be a powerful way to increase your approval rates. I'm not sure if it's something about the software, or just using a browser that doesn't have much junk on it. Regardless, it works.
To maximize rate of return:
1. Make sure you clear cookies
2. Do an offer and submit
3. Clear cookies again
4. Close out browser. This is key, since I've found a lot of these cookies are stored in memory, meaning even if you clear them they will still cause offers to be rejected until to close and reopen!

And the Rest
There are just a few other things to remember:
1. Always read and obey the membership requirements. Not doing so could cost you all your not-so-hard won earnings, and that would suck.
2. Refer, Refer, Refer. The difference between a couple extra bucks, and a new TV every couple moths is building up a network of referrals.
3. Be Patient: Some sites approve offers really quickly, others take the better part of a day. I like to fill out 3 or 4 in a chunk, and then leave the site alone for the day and then check what approves. If they did, great, if they don't, don't stress; there's always another offer there.
4. If you run into a wall, and nothing seems to be approving, the best thing to do is check if you're the only one. Every site's forum has at least one post like this, which has a list of offers that have been approving for members.
5. There is power in the hotkey. Specifically, when filling out those pages with 25 or so "Yes/No" radio buttons, try this. Click "No" on the first one, they hit the Tab key, they hit the Down key. Rinse and repeat until you hit the submit button. Major carpal tunnel saver!

As far as I'm concerned, this is the Gold Standard of free money sites. Like most you sign up, then earn money for surveys, registering, and so on. The site is really nicely organized, allowing you to filter the offers by free or not, and sort them numerous ways. The majority of offers are free, and average about $1 a survey/registration. Most offers turnover in about and hour, and they do a great job of showing you what you've earned, what offers are completed, and what's still pending.

What it's All About

This isn't the first or the last blog about making money online, but I hope it will be one of the best. My goal will be simple, to find the best free cash sites on the internet, and bring them to you. I'm not gonna pull any punches, just report what's good, what's bad, and what's a complete scam.

I personally hate the sites like this that are nothing but a collage of referral banners, so I'm going to keep this as clean as possible. Each site gets one entry that will be constantly updated, and I'll always have a top post summarizing my current take.

Like I said, I hope you find this site helpful, and if you do, I hope that when you sign up for any of the sites I showcase, you'll use me as a referral.
